Microsoft's New Browser Highlighted In New Video
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) first detailed its new Internet browser and successor to Internet Explorer during its Windows 10 event in January.
On Monday, a video surfaced by WinBeta, a Microsoft enthusiast site showing some of the features for Project Spartan, the codename for the Windows 10 browser along with the Cortana integration.
Based on the video, The Verge on Tuesday wrote that most of the Cortana integration is consistent to what Microsoft showed in January.
"The video demonstration shows how Cortana will provide directions within the browser or even information on locations," The Verge commented. "There's even an "ask Cortana" option in the context menu that's similar to Apple's define feature in OS X. Cortana is also integrated into the address bar so you can simply type weather to obtain local forecast information."
Shares of Microsoft closed Monday at $43.88.
