Ulta Salon (ULTA) And Target (TGT) To Shine In 2010
While talking with CNBC, Brian Tunick of JPMorgan pointed out that retail sales registered sluggish volumes during the first two weeks of December, 2009. However, customers pushed up the sales figures during the latter weeks of the month.
Jeff Klinefelter of Piper Jaffray confirmed this point of view. According to Jeff, the apparel sector is likely to outperform the broader consumer index, as it has been lagging behind for the last three years. He picked Target (NYSE: TGT) as his favorite stock. He also liked American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO). Brian picked Rue 21 (NASDAQ: RUE), Ulta (NASDAQ: ULTA), and Ross stores (NASDAQ: ROST) as his favorite stocks for 2010.
