Rumor Roundup: What To Expect From Apple's March 21 Event

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is conducting an event on March 21, and the rumor mills are churning out several interesting stories regarding the event.

The most prominent of them has been that Apple is expected to unveil a new 4-inch iPhone with new hardware specs and built-in support for Apple Pay.

According to 9to5Mac, "The event, which was originally internally scheduled for a week earlier, will focus on Apple's new 4-inch iPhone SE, a smaller, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and new Apple Watch bands. The company will likely also reveal the final versions of iOS 9.3, tvOS 9.2, watchOS 2.2, OS X 10.11.4, and an iTunes update."

The report said, similar to the iPhone 6s, "the iPhone SE will be capable of taking and viewing Live Photos, pictures that embed a few seconds of video and audio before and after the time of the still photograph."

Meanwhile, sources say that the "iPhone SE will replace the iPhone 5s in the iPhone family," and the SE will take its price points. As of Friday, the iPhone 5s comes with either 16GB or 32GB capacities, at $450 and $500, respectively.

Regarding the speculated iPad Pro, rumored features include a smart keyboard, 12-megapixel camera, upgraded processor, a four-speaker design, Smart Connector, Apple Pencil support, and a rear-facing LED flash.

Apple is also expected to release new Apple Watch bands in the event. "It is also possible that Apple unveils additional band color options from Hermès, beyond the current brown, red and blue shades, and additional band design partnerships," according to the 9to5Mac article.
