Natural Gas Names Holding Up (RRC, APA, DVN, GAS)
Despite a 3% collapse in natural gas futures, shares of natural gas companies are holding up well in today's trading action. Apache Corp (NYSE: APA), Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN), Range Resources (NYSE: RRC), and Nicor (NYSE: GAS) are all showing signs of strength in the midst of the selloff; perhaps in response to crude oil futures being up nearly 2%.
Apache is up 0.6% at $131.19. Shares of the company have bounced nearly 4% since yesterday's early morning selloff.
Devon is putting in a slight gain of 0.15% at $91.72.
Range Resources is positive 0.3% at $57.72. Shares of the company hit a 52-week high of $59.23 in yesterday's trading.
Nicor put in a fresh 52-week high this morning of $53.68. The stock is marginally positive, hovering at $53.65.
