Calpers looking to invest more in private equity versus the global markets. Calpers says it can achieve approximately 3% more in return from private equity versus the stock market.

Calpers is looking to lower the fees and conditions that Apollo Management (Nasdaq: APOL) charges them.

Calpers has $20 billion invested in private equity.
