Why Is Twitter Advertising Near Wall Street?
Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) began placing physical advertisements across New York City, including near Wall Street. The ads consist of colorful big exclamation marks and question marks with Twitter's iconic bird replacing the period.

Recode's Kurt Wagner commented on the ad campaign and suggested they are "cryptic in that they don't do much of anything to actually explain what Twitter is or why you might use it." However, Twitter did explain that the new ad campaign is an extension of a prior digital campaign, which was launched in July.

Wagner noted Twitter's Chief Marketing Officer Leslie Berland said Twitter's ads will "reflect and highlight the biggest stories unfolding on Twitter." Wagner assumes this to be a nod to the Presidential election and the debates, which the social media platform live streamed.
Wagner also noted that Twitter chose to advertise in a small number of subway stations, one of which is at Wall Street Station. No doubt subway-riding bankers will see the sign which could serve as a "reminder" that even if there are no suitors to buy the company it "isn't going anywhere."
