Book sales have become a lucrative avenue for lawmakers to enhance their brands and share their stories. Several U.S. senators earned significantly more from book sales in 2022 than their official salaries as revealed by their recent financial disclosures, Business Insider reports.

Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock topped the list with earnings of $655,000, followed by Republican Senator Ted Cruz at $500,000. Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth learned $462,500, while Republican Senator Tom Cotton made $373,537.

Republican Senator Tim Scott and Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren also made significant amounts, earning $370,033 and $443,141 respectively.

These earnings surpassed their $174,000 senatorial salaries.
