Netflix: Verizon FIOS Ranks No. 1 In USA ISP Speed Index

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) on Monday released details of its December Netflix ISP Speed Index, a monthly update on which Internet Service Providers provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.

December is historically Netflix's busiest month, with December 28 being the busiest streaming day of the entire year. During the busy month, Netflix noted that it saw continued increases in average speeds across the largest Internet Service Providers, with Verizon Communications Inc.'s (NYSE: VZ) FiOS taking top ranks at 3.36 Megabits per second.

Cablevison took second-highest ranks at 3.32 Megabits per second, while Bright House was slightly behind with a reading of 3.20 Megabits per second.
