Apple Event Could Bring Updated Apple TV Or New MacBook, JP Morgan Says
In a report published Friday, JP Morgan analyst Rod Hall wrote that Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) upcoming "Spring Forward" March 9 event could reveal details on an updated Apple TV or a new Retina MacBook Air.
Hall stated that the concurrent launch of an app store could create "quite a bit" of new console gaming revenue potential for the Apple TV business. The analyst also added that "we would be particularly interested" if a new MacBook Air would make use of the A8X chip instead of an Intel Corporation chip that would support his "iAnywhere" thesis.
