On Jan. 7, Barclays analyst Jeffrey Bernstein upgraded Shake Shack from Equal-Weight to Overweight and raised the price target from $125 to $159.

Brian Belski of BMO Capital Markets picked Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE:SNV), a financial stock.

On Jan. 7, Synovus Bank appointed Walt Deriso as CEO and Hamilton Hilsman as president of The Family Office at Synovus.

On Jan. 7, Paramount Global (NASDAQ:PARA) and Comcast have reached a deal to renew their distribution agreements, ensuring continued access to a range of premium content for Xfinity customers.

Stephanie Link of Hightower Advisors named Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), which is expected to report quarterly earnings on Jan. 16.

Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $1.67 per share on revenue of $14.99 billion. On Jan. 7, B of A Securities analyst Michael Carrier maintained Morgan Stanley with a Buy and raised the price target from $140 to $146.
