Fari Hamzei Weighs In On The Broad Market, Tech Stocks
Fari Hamzei, founder of Hamzei Analytics, recently stopped by Benzinga's #PreMarket Prep and was entertaining as usual.
Hamzei, the author of Master Traders, is an aggressive Equity Options and Index futures trader who is not afraid to tell it like it is. Hamzei Analytics is in its 16th year of serving institutional traders, fund managers and professional traders.
Hamzei is a graduate of Princeton University (which he will proudly remind you) with a BSE degree in financial engineering. In addition, he has studied equity and debt derivatives under financial pioneers such as Jack Shelton, Ed Thorp, Richard Roll and Bob Geske at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.
Hamzei's mathematical background has enabled him to develop his own proprietary technicals indicators: Sigma Channels and Central Intelligence (which is a reference to his Navy days) that he uses as unemotional guides for entries, exits and stops. Self-described as a "derivative quant," Hamzei will add other indicators to the mix, but places the most emphasis on what his Sigma Channels and Central Intelligence are telling him.
During his most recent interview, Hamzei discussed the broad market, Twitter Inc, Facebook Inc, Apple Inc. and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.
