Prince Alaweed Might Buy GM

Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was on CNBC earlier with Maria Bartiromo, and he told her that he may invest in General Motors Co., prior to the car company's IPO.

The Prince said his firm will be looking “very seriously” at the company, and would approach GM's banks and the company about investing in it before it goes to the public markets.

Prince Alwaleed is also a major shareholder in Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C), through his holding company, Kingdom Holding.
