Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings last Thursday that beat Wall Street expectations on revenue and earnings per share.

The company also revealed its paying subscribers grew to more than one in 10 people on the planet.

Apple beat estimated earnings by 2.38%, reporting an EPS of $1.29 versus an estimate of $1.26, while revenue was up $6.79 billion from the same period last year.

The Cupertino-based company beating the top and bottom lines was aided by its services revenue, which was up 5% year-over-year to $19.19 billion for the company.

That included all of Apple’s subscribers across services like Apple Music, Apple TV+ and the Apple One Bundle.

“Paid accounts are growing faster than transacting accounts, so the penetration of paid accounts is increasing,” CFO Luca Maestri said on the earnings call. “We have a great subscription business, 900 million paid subs now on the platform and growing very fast. We doubled in three years.”

That’s right, 900 million subscribers, or more than one in 10 people in the world.

Here are the services Apple offers and the accompanying costs:

Apple Music

  • $10.99/month for an individual
  • $16.99/month for a family
  • $109/year for an individual

Apple TV+

  • $6.99/month
  • $69/year

Apple One Bundle (Includes up to six services: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+)

  • $16.95/month for an individual
  • $22.95/month for a family
  • $32.95/month for premier

Despite the fact that Apple TV+ has only been operational since 2019, the platform has showcased some outstanding content. These programs include original TV shows and films, such as the popular show "Severance," which debuted in 2022.

The company’s success in digital areas showed it is a viable competitor in markets outside of its lineup of physical goods including phones, laptops, and computers.
