Harrah's Entertainment Reports Third Quarter Net Income of $(164.8M)

Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: CZR) today reported the following financial results for the 2010 third quarter and first nine months:

The company's 2010 third quarter revenues increased approximately 0.3 percent to $2,288.5 million from $2,282.2 million in the 2009 third quarter,.

Income from operations for the third quarter of 2010 was $175.7 million, compared with a loss from operations of $1,050.2 million for the 2009 third quarter. Included in the third quarters of 2010 and 2009 were impairment charges related to intangible assets of $44.0 million and $1,328.6 million, respectively.
