Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Hospitalized After Fainting At Mexico Business Event: What We Know So Far

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) co-founder Steve Wozniak has been hospitalized in Mexico City, according to local media reports.

What Happened: Wozniak has been hospitalized in Mexico City and although the exact cause is not known yet, local media reports suggest that the Apple co-founder has suffered a stroke.

However, other reports suggest that Wozniak could have experienced vertigo.

Wozniak, also known as Woz, was in Mexico City to attend the World Business Forum (WBF), a business conference.

Woz reportedly complained of "feeling strange" and fainted, following which he was taken to a local hospital. At this moment, it's not clear if this is merely a case of fatigue or something more serious.

Wozniak founded Apple along with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne in 1976. He designed the company's first two products, the Apple I and Apple II computers. He also helped design the Macintosh.

He is often called the innovator, while Jobs was known for his marketing genius.

Despite Apple's success, Wozniak left the company in 1985, stating that it was holding him back and that it was the "bane of his existence".
