How A Pothole Problem Turned into Trench Comedy: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Epic Oops in LA

Actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger tried to fix a pothole problem in his neighborhood in Los Angeles in April. The only problem: it was not a pothole.

What Happened: Schwarzenegger on April 12, 2023, posted a video of him and his team filling a “pothole” troubling cars and bicycles for weeks, armed with a shovel and road patching material.

“I always say, let's not complain, let's do something about it,” Schwarzenegger said in a call for action.

The video also showed a driver driving past thanking the actor, renowned for his roles as Conan the Barbarian and Terminator.

Instead, it was a service trench for work being conducted by Southern California Gas Company. The company would have repaired the area on completion of the work, which was expected by the end of May, the spokesperson added.
