Man Against Google: Police Arrest Suspect In Google HQ Attacks
Referring to the incident's police report, CNN Money wrote that Oakland resident Raul Murillo Diaz was arrested June 30 after being caught driving in the empty Google (Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL)) campus parking lot with a gun and possible bomb-making materials in his possession.
Police also added that Diaz has probably carried out a number of attacks against the Mountain View headquarters. The 30-year-old man was noticed by Google employees throwing bottles at a Google Street View vehicle parked in front of a Google building, which caused no damage to the car, but burned the ground near it.
Diaz said that he was worried the company was watching him. According to the affidavit filed in a U.S. District Court, the man kept journals with details of the times he thought Google was watching him.
According to CNN Money, the Mountain View police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating his possible role in the attack that took place on June 4, when someone shot out windows at a Google building with a gun.
Police reported that Diaz's SUV and physical description match other surveillance footage and reports. Moreover, Diaz confessed to his role in those incidents, mentioning that he had planned on shooting at another Google building before being caught.
