After Leaving The White House, President Obama May Look To NBA Hoops

President Barack Obama is leaving office in January after serving two consecutive terms in the White House.

So what's on his agenda after he retires from office? A return to the classroom? Practicing law? Dedicating his life to philanthropy?

None of the above. Not even close. At least not according to recent reports.

ESPN (Walt Disney Co (NYSE: DIS)) cited the president's press secretary, Josh Earnest, as saying President Obama wants to join ranks with former President George W. Bush and own a professional sports team.

Earnest said on Wednesday that the president had already "discussed" being part of an ownership group for an NBA team. Close followers of the president should be aware that he is a big fan of Chicago sports teams, especially the Bulls.

He even told GQ Magazine back in November of last year that he "fantasized about being able to put together a team and how much fun that would be."
