United Airlines Says CEO Oscar Munoz Recovering From Heart Transplant, Will Return To Work By Q2

Share:

United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE: UAL) said on Wednesday that its CEO, Oscar Munoz, is expected to fully recover following a heart transport operation.

United Continental noted that a transplant was considered to be "the preferred treatment" and was "not the result of a setback" following a heart attack in October.

Munoz has been on medical leave since his heart attack. However, the company stated that the executive is expected to return to the company at the end of the first quarter or beginning of the second quarter.
