Alphabet Shares Quiet After New Google Glass Photos Appear On FCC Website
Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) shares are quiet in Monday's after-hours session amid reports that the FCC has published photos of Google Glass Enterprise Edition, the latest iteration of the company's much-debated line of smart glasses.
As Engadget explained, this model is expected to be available to partner companies, not consumers at large. A few upgrades are reported to be included in this iteration, including portability.
"[T]he device doesn’t look all too different than the previous Google Glass: Explorer Edition, but foldability was one of the previous version’s most-requested features — and now it’s part of the design," 9to5Google wrote.
As an FCC filing shows, the device is still charged with a power cord and is oriented on the user's right eye. The photos can be found on the FCC's website.
