Gamers Gear Up As EA's 'Star Wars Battlefront' Release Approaches

November 17 marks the release date for the much-awaited "Star Wars Battlefront," and it's almost here. Finally right around the corner, investors, analysts and fans alike, are eagerly anticipating the event.

Ahead of the game's release Benzinga contacted Liam Callahan, an industry analyst for Video and PC Games at The NPD Group.

While the analyst does not have access to pre-order figures, he did share some comments regarding the potential audience. “I think we’ll see fans of the older films come out to buy the game, there is definitely more nostalgia tied to the game with the game’s settings (Hoth, Tatooine and Endor),” he assured.

“There is potential to move hardware, especially with the bundles they have featuring this game, like the PS4 bundle with Darth Vader embossed on the actual console, he added.

Other Release Dates

"Star Wars Battlefront" will be out in North America next Tuesday, November 17.

Australia will get the game by November 19, and Europe, by November 20.

For now, the game will be available for Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE: SNE)’s PS4 and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT)’s Xbox One and PC.
