Apple, Dish Network Reportedly Want Nothing To Do With 'The Interview'
Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE: SNE) can now scratch off Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iTunes as a potential venue to launch its controversial film, 'The Interview.'
According to BGR, Sony may have approached Apple to explore an on-demand release of the film. Apple demonstrated no interest whatsoever in releasing the film.
It was previously reported by Fox Business News that Dish Network Corp (NASDAQ: DISH) also declined to launch the movie on its network that could have reached millions of viewers.
Sony Entertainment's CEO Michael Lynton was quoted as saying he is "adamant that the movie air somewhere, somehow."
As of Wednesday morning, the movie will air at select theaters throughout the United States.
