Women Have A Bigger Social Media Presence Than Men

There's no glass ceiling for women on social media. A new infographic from Finances Online says that ladies are using social media more than their male counterparts.

In 2013, 76 percent of U.S. women were using Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) , compared to only 66 percent of men. Women also beat out men on Twitter (NYSE: TWTR), Instagram, Pinterest and tumblr. But more men used LinkedIn.

Not only are more women on social media, but they are also using social media more often than men. Thirty percent of women used social media several times per day in 2013, while only 26 percent of men did. In addition, more than half of social media news consumers were women on both Facebook and Google+.
