Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) sold more than one million Xbox One units when the console was released on November 22.

The console was released in 13 markets globally, making it one of the biggest universal launches in history for a new game system.

Sony (NYSE: SNE), however, sold one million PlayStation 4 units in just one territory -- North America.

The Japanese tech giant is expected to sell millions more now that the console is available in Europe.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook is not a fan of the trend surrounding Black Friday.

Instead of opening at 6:00 a.m. on the Friday after Thanksgiving, many open at 6:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, the night before.

But Cook reportedly stepped in and stopped the company from opening any stores on Thanksgiving.

Does Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) ever sleep?

The online retail giant is already developing the next-gen Kindle Paperwhite.

The new e-reader is expected to come with a 300 ppi display, squeezable edges that function as page-turning buttons and a number of other enhancements.

Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG) Executive Chairman, Eric Schmidt, is confident that Android users will remain with Android for life.

Assuming they came from iOS, that is.

He wrote on the matter this week, saying,

"Like the people who moved from PCs to Macs and never switched back, you will switch from iPhone to Android and never switch back as everything will be in the cloud, backed up, and there are so many choices for you."

Should it surprise anyone that on the cusp of Cyber Monday, Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) was crowned the supreme ruler of mobile commerce?

Amazon's dominance is followed by eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) and Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT).

The Good Dinosaur may turn out to be a great film, but Disney (NYSE: DIS) was not convinced that it was ready for release in summer 2014.

The studio delayed the film's release by roughly 18 months.

As a result, Disney has now decided to reduce Pixar's workforce and lay off an unspecified number of employees.

Many have dreamed of the day when new organs could be created in a lab.

Real Goods Solar (NASDAQ: RSOL) CFO Tony DiPaolo told Benzinga Pro's Brent Slava that the company is quickly moving toward break-even.

"We expect that our adjusted EBITDA number will be right at break-even to slightly positive," said DiPaolo, referring to the firm's fourth quarter expectations.

In 2014, tablet shipments are expected to be on par with PC shipments.

If tablet growth continues in 2015, the touch screen slates should finally eclipse global PC shipments.
