A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 86 points to 11,578.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 10 points to 1,214.80. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 18.50 points to 2,245.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 1.37%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.85%, French CAC 40 index rose 1.53% and German DAX 30 index gained 1.21%.

Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.01%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.66% and China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.03%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.6367% and India's Sensex jumped 1.59%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Piper Jaffray upgraded CNinsure Inc (NASDAQ: CISG) from “underweight” to “neutral.” The target price for CNinsure is set to $10.

CNinsure shares dropped 10.59% to close at $10.38 yesterday.
