Bethesda Announces New Game - Dishonored

With games like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls under its belt, Bethesda is typically known for bringing honor to the gaming community. But in 2012, the acclaimed developer and publisher will release Dishonored, a new game from Arkane Studios.

Dishonored is currently in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Games for Windows (NASDAQ: MSFT). Raphael Colantonio (lead designer on Arx Fatalis) and Harvey Smith (lead designer on Deus Ex) are co-directing the project, which will be unveiled exclusively in Game Informer magazine on July 15 (see the cover story right here). A new website for the unveiling, gameinformer.com/dishonored, will go live in August.

Commenting on the announcement, Colantonio said that at Arkane, “we have a passion for creating deep, immersive game experiences.”

“To be able to finally share details of our project is both extremely exciting and satisfying,” he said.

In addition to its appearance in Game Informer, Dishonored will also appear in magazine cover stories all over the world starting next month.
