Small Cap Or Large Cap? – Analysts Share Views With CNBC

Share:

Large caps are being beaten by small caps. Talking with CNBC, Eric Marshall, director of research at Hodges Capital Management, provided his opinion on the issue.

Marshall said small caps usually do well early in a market cycle, especially in a moderate macro environment. Marshall expects the trend to continue due to continuing M&A activities.

Meanwhile, Michael Cuggino, president, and portfolio manager at Permanent Portfolio Funds, expects economic growth to continue, working in favor of large caps. Cuggino expects them to reach markets on a global level, and have better products; better than small caps. “And therefore, in this economy, larger caps should do well and grow in this environment as well as small cap stocks,” says Cuggino.
