StellaService CEO Sees Amazon Keeping Throne As Online Retailer King
Jordan Leiser, co-founder and CEO of StellaService, a data collector for online retail, talked a bit about how they track companies and how the rest of the retail world competes with the online Goliath Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) on CNBC's Squawk Box Monday morning.
“We track the ordering experience, but we also track the things off of the website,” said Leiser regarding retailers transitioning into eCommerce.
StellaService tracks every retailer in their measurements, with companies paying they for the data they collect.
Within their data, they're now viewing the direct competition that just about everyone in retail has with Amazon, with many aiming at “delivering a more seamless shopping experience” to keep pace with Amazon's price matching and convenience, Leiser said.

Leiser cited Amazon's fast fulfillment of orders, including shippments, returns, and refunds, as another layer of their success in terms of efficiency and costumer satisfaction.
“A lot of the big box guys are having, having difficulty trying to keep up in terms of all the, the fulfillment stuff that Amazon does, but that's why you're seeing price matching with all these guys, because they're trying to figure out some other way to keep, to keep the playing field level,” said Leiser.
