Project Polaris Hits Full-Scale Production: What's Next For The Witcher And CD Projekt?

CD Projekt ADR (OTC:OTGLY) has announced that Project Polaris, the first installment in a new Witcher trilogy, has transitioned from preproduction to full-scale production.

"I'm proud to confirm that several weeks ago the Polaris team wrapped up preproduction and moved on to full-scale production – the most intensive phase of development," said Michał Nowakowski, joint CEO of CD Projekt. "We are very pleased with our progress on this project, and I wish to thank the team for its dedication."

About 400 of the company's 650 developers are focused on Project Polaris.

CD Projekt is working to ensure the game is ready for its planned 2025 release, following a preproduction phase that began in May 2022.

"I'm thrilled to announce that Project Polaris has entered the full-scale production phase,” Sebastian Kalemba, the game director, added. “With new challenges just around the corner, it's the talented and hard-working people who make me believe we can together make the upcoming Witcher Saga a remarkable experience. CD Projekt Reports Strong Q3 Performance, Cyberpunk 2077 Continues To Thrive

In its third-quarter 2024 financial report, CD Projekt revealed impressive revenue figures. The company reported revenues of 228 million PLN (approximately $53.76 million) and a consolidated net profit of 78 million PLN.

In addition to work on Project Polaris, CD Projekt is seeing success with its current titles.

The studio reported that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 30 million copies, and the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold over eight million copies since its release.
