Elden Ring DLC Leaks Prompt FromSoftware To Urge Fans: 'Please Be Mindful Of Spoilers'

Sony Group Corp.‘s (NYSE:SONY) FromSoftware, the developer of Elden Ring, has urged fans to avoid spoiling the upcoming expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, after significant details, including the final boss fight, were leaked online.

“With the release of the expansion of Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, please be mindful of spoilers for those who want to tread into the Realm of Shadow with nothing but their determination and their minds unclouded,” the company posted on X/Twitter.

Moreover, they thanked fans for their cooperation and advised those eager for the DLC to steer clear of social media and online discussions to avoid spoilers.

The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, set to launch on June 21, is expected to enrich the game with a new map, story, bosses, and items.

As with previous FromSoftware games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, accessing the DLC involves completing several challenging tasks, including defeating an optional boss.

Elden Ring, which became a cultural phenomenon upon its release in 2022, is set to expand significantly with this new content. The expansion promises to add hundreds, if not thousands, of new secrets and story threads.

The anticipation for Shadow of the Erdtree is palpable, as the mere release date announcement drew many players back to the game.
