Once Every 823 Years, Something Weirdly Amazing Happens

Share:

There's no denying it: there may never be another year quite like 2011. From playboys who wish they were politicians to politicians who wish they were playboys, this has been a year unlike any other.

That, however, is only the tip of the iceberg. As luck would have it, the most unique elements of 2011 have nothing to do with politicians. (Stunning, isn't it?)

One of my colleagues sent over some interesting info regarding the month of July, which will have five Fridays, five Saturdays, and five Sundays this month – an occurrence that only happens once every 823 years. Supposedly, this event is called “money bags.”

And that's not all. In January, we saw the dates 1/1/11 and 1/11/11; in November, we'll see 11/1/11 and 11/11/11!

On top of that, if you take the last two digits of your birth year and add them to the age you will be this year, you will get 111.

Go on – try it. I dare you. It really works.
