Why This Hedge Fund Manager Doesn't See Tremendous Value In American Express

Share:

Todd Sullivan was recently a guest on #PreMarket Prep, a daily trading idea radio show hosted by Joel Elconin and Dennis Dick.

Hedge Fund Manager and Rand Strategic Partners Founder Todd Sullivan discussed American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) on the show.

Sullivan feels that the company has lost its cachet, as banks introduced premium charge cards with benefits and privileges.

The future of the company is "a little cloudy," Sullivan said, as competition has increased while the company continues to operate as it has in the past.

"Having an American Express Platinum card isn't a big deal anymore where 10 or 15 years ago it probably was," according to Sullivan.

American Express Company recently traded at $78.66, down 1.22 percent.
