The top six analysts were largely bullish on the stock, except for JP Morgan’s Ryan Brinkman who rated Tesla a Sell and UBS’ Colin Langan who maintained a Hold rating.

Lache recently indicated that Tesla's "highly differentiated" business model, appealing product portfolio and leading-edge technology are more than offset by above-average execution risk and valuation that "seems to be pricing in a lot."

2. Ryan Brinkman at JP Morgan - Sell, $165 price target

3. Adam Jonas at Morgan Stanley - Buy, $280 price target

In a recent note, Jonas was looking forward to “more details surrounding Model X execution – in particular, launch timing, speed of ramp and order back log.”

4. Trip Chowdhry at Global Equities - Buy, $385 price target

5. Colin Rusch at Northland Securities - Buy, $298 price target

6. Colin Langan at UBS - Hold, no price target

UBS had forecasted 62,000 deliveries for Tesla in 2015 and 13,000 in the first quarter of 2015 with a gross margin of 25 percent.
