SunTrust's Bob Peck Comments On Amazon And Ad Tech
On Thursday morning, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Bob Peck and his team published a report titled Ad Tech Primer: From “Pipe” To ”Hourglass.”
In the White Paper, they took a look at the Internet and Digital Media sector, and several companies involved in ad tech.
In particular, Peck commented on Buy-rated Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) ($360 price target) in the context of a larger discussion about the large public platforms.
How does Amazon's ad tech stack up to competitors?
SunTrust analysts point out: This is one of the most frequent questions they get from investors. So, they answered it with a table.

“We do note," they add, "that other significant companies in our universe have also built or acquired ad tech solutions: LinkedIn acquired a leading B2B DMP in Bizo; Amazon has built a significant ad network; and eBay owns an ad network (PayPal Media Network via Where acquisition) and retargeting engine (Fetchback).
"In addition, looking forward, we believe Pandora is likely the best positioned company to build the preeminant digital radio ad exchange,” the analysts conclude.
