B Riley & Co Analyst Scott Tilghman: 'Office Depot Management Does Great Job At Recognizing Synergy Opportunities'

When asked about the possibility of a merger between Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS) and Office Depot Inc (NASDAQ: ODP), B Riley & Co Analyst Scott Tilghman said that the Office Depot management team and CEO Roland Smith, in particular, have done an “incredible job” at recognizing and executing on synergy opportunities .

“We’ve seen that over the last several quarters worth of results from the company, as well as the continued raising of their synergy targets,” he said.
